(More customer reviews)I have never had foot problems before wearing these shoes. The adiCORE III trx tf shoe has an extremely hard sole under the heel (an "adiPrene" sole), and after playing for an hour in these shoes I experienced severe heel pain. At first, I attributed the pain to my lack of fitness, and thought my feet just needed some time to get used to these new shoes, so I tried to play through the pain the following day -- huge mistake! This made the injury worse. My feet swelled up under the ankles, and it became so painful to run that I had to stop running for three weeks to recover. I have since been running in my asics gt-2150s which, of course, are extremely comfortable/supportive.
By the way, I've had Adidas Samba Classics for years and have never had foot problems. Also, I have nothing against Adidas. My cleats are Adidas F30's (cheaper version of the F50's), and I love them.
Unfortunately, I cannot return the adiCores, since I've already worn them -- waste of $80 -- but I have since replaced them with the Nike5 Zoom T-5 CT, which are surprisingly comfortable. They even come with a high-quality removable insole with a built in heel pad. (The adiCore insoles are flimsy an NOT removable -- if you want to use your own high-quality insole, you will have to tear out the original adidas insole).
The other thing I dislike about the adicore is they have some padding above the toe, which I suppose is meant to dampen the bounce of the ball. Perhaps some players like this, but I really disliked how it decreased my ability to feel the ball on my foot. Personally, I want just one very thin piece of leather between my foot and the ball, and nothing more. Perhaps I'd have been better off trying the cheaper adiNovas, but the adiNovas also have an adiprene sole, which may have caused the same heel problems.
If you have ever had heel problems, or are looking for comfortable/supportive shoes, I would NOT recommend the adiCore III trx tf. (I've heard Puma King's are excellent for heel support/comfort.) Personally, I'll never buy another pair of shoes with "adiPrene" soles.
