(More customer reviews)My 7 year old Son was going to be playing Futsal for the first time this Winter, so I figured that at the rate his feet are growing I'll just buy a lower price indoor shoe to last him for that period. So I picked this based on price and with a being familiar with the brand.
We both liked the looks, however the problems started when he wore it for practice. It has a high and very rigid ankle line. It started to dig into his ankle of his dominant kicking foot. At the end of practice I noticed my son had a limp and sure enough it left a mark on the bottom of the ankle. At first I put this down to being a new shoe and he needs to break into it and it will soften over time. Well that softening period never happened and after one particular game it had cut into him so badly that it caused blood to soak into his sock. The only way he can wear it now is if we also place a wrap on his ankle under his sock to provide more cushioning.
My Son certainly does not have abnormal ankles, he has been playing soccer since the age of three and he has gone through so many cleats.
The peculiar thing is that before I purchased this shoe I also read another review where a parent expressed the exact same thing (maybe on another website), I did not think much about it. I just assumed that their kid must have had soft ankles. I must admit that my son was a real trooper and always played his game without a fuss and I only initially noticed when he limped around after a game...he does not have soft ankles I can assure you.
Please be aware that this may happen to you and also be aware that you can overcome it by placing a wrap to add more cushioning.
After six weeks of practices and games it has also shown signs of a tiny crack on the sole where it meets the uppers.
Personally I should have paid more and got a better shoe even if it was for this winter only.
