(More customer reviews)I've had many arch injuries from basketball and volleyball, from rolling my foot as I come down on someone else's. The recovery always requires good arch support for months, and while that's fairly easy with orthotics, finding it in a sandal is more of a challenge. I've found 2 good arch support sandals but this is the best, by far--while being reasonably priced, durable, adjustable (via the Velcro attached flap on top) and looking totally cool. I had been impressed with the Oakley Supercoil Slide 3 Sandal, which does indeed eliminate the pain, but the arch support in the Moszkito Coast is dramatically superior, and is actually equivalent to that of a full, custom orthotic. It very reassuringly blocks your foot from pronating (rolling inward), while the Oakley provides an imperceptable, if effective, support, but does not really prevent pronation. One note: the first day you wear them, they'll feel a bit uncomfortable, because that arch support is hefty. But after a day of adjustment, you won't want to take them off. Seriously: you won't.
